Consultant-led, evidence-based assessments and care

What to expect

At your appointment, I’ll take the time to fully understand your skin concerns and how they’re affecting you, carefully examine your skin, and talk through possible diagnoses and management options together.

If treatment is needed, I’ll explain my recommendations clearly and make sure you know what to expect, should you choose to go ahead.

Before your appointment

When you book an appointment, you’ll be asked to provide your GP details. This allows me to share any relevant medical correspondence with your GP, so it can be added to your NHS record.

Once your appointment is confirmed, you’ll receive a short pre-consultation questionnaire. Completing this helps me understand your concerns in advance, so we can make the most of your time together.

You’ll also be asked to complete consent forms for clinical photography, which helps us monitor changes and manage ongoing treatment.

During your consultation

Your consultation will focus on fully understanding your concerns, carefully examining your skin, and discussing diagnostic and management options to address both symptoms and any underlying causes.

If treatment is recommended, I’ll explain why it’s been suggested and what you can expect. Treatment options may include topical therapies, antibiotics, skin surgery, or non-invasive approaches, depending on what’s most appropriate for you.

After your consultation

Following your appointment, you’ll receive a written management plan outlining what we’ve agreed to address your skin concerns. This will be sent to both you and your GP within a few hours of your consultation, unless otherwise agreed.
